What Is a Friendship Bench and How Does it Work?
A friendship bench is a safe place on the playground for kids to go when they need a friend. When someone sits on the friendship bench, they are letting other students and teachers know that they are looking for a friend to play with or someone to talk to.

- It supports an environment of compassion, inclusion, and anti-bullying.
- It provides a way for younger students to take action when they feel they need it.
- It assists teachers by identifying students who are looking for support or who may need help socializing.
